PETALING JAYA: The inadequate security at the condominium in Jalan Klang
Lama, where remisier Koo May Ling and her three-year-old son were murdered
on Monday, has made the police furious.
The condominium only has a CCTV system at the guardhouse and visitors' car
registration numbers or MyKad details are not taken down.
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Mazlan Mansor said police had
scrutinised the video from the CCTV and it showed Koo driving home at 6.28pm
on Monday.
However, he said the CCTV footage was not clear.
The security at the condominium is not adequate, he added.
Koo's husband Foo Ji Hong returned home at 9.45pm and found his 37-year-old
wife and son Jin Cheong dead in a bedroom.
According to SAC Mazlan, the door was closed but was left unlocked when Foo,
an accountant, returned.
SAC Mazlan said police believed the murders could have been carried out by
someone close to Koo.
Police have yet to record a statement from her husband as they did not want
to disturb the preparations for the cremation of the two deceased.
It is learnt that the post-mortem revealed that Koo died of multiple stab
wounds while her son died from head injuries.
The murderer was so violent that the blade of the fillet knife broke off and
was stuck in her back and the handle was found next to her body.
Meanwhile, family members, when met at the Hospital Kuala Lumpur mortuary,
refused to talk to the media.
It is learnt that the couple had bought a new house and were planning to
move there soon. |
