23/11/2007 Bernama
SHAH ALAM, Nov 23 (Bernama) --- The Selangor government will blacklist 16
developers and freeze approvals of their projects if they fail to settle or
negotiate with the state Land and Mines Office on the issuing of strata
titles concerning their buildings.
The state government, in a statement issued here today, said it is giving
them two weeks to settle the matter while the Land and Mines Office had also
been instructed to open special counters from Monday for the purpose.
Apart from that, the state government would also recommend to the Housing
and Local Government Ministry to withdraw the developers licence issued to
the respective companies, the statement said.
It also stated that 926 developers, whose applications for strata titles on
their buildings had been approved, must pay the required fees within the
two-week period, failing which their names would also be blacklisted.
