SHAH ALAM: A boy who was left unattended for a few minutes fell to his death
from the 11th floor of the 16-storey Projek Perumahan Rakyat Hicom in
Section 26, yesterday.
Two months shy of his sixth birthday, Wanizatul Iman Norhisham is believed
to have climbed onto an old audio speaker left along the common corridor of
the flat.
He had earlier accompanied his mother, Mislina Samigan, 32, to the shops on
the ground floor before returning to their flat.
His aunt, Rafella Ishak, 26, who stays with the family, said Mislina left
Iman at home and went to the 10th floor to meet a neighbour. The boy sneaked
out of the house and was searching for his mother when he fell at about
12.30pm.
A resident said he heard a loud thud and thought it was something thrown
from one of the upper floors.
"Imagine my shock when I saw the body of a boy covered in blood."
Several residents tried to help Iman, who had head injuries, but he was
already dead.
Iman was buried at the Hicom Muslim cemetery yesterday. |
