TAMAN Cheras Prima residents want to know if the Certificate of Fitness (CF)
for their properties will be available since the developer of the housing
estate has been wound up.
As such, residents recently formed a pro-tem committee to list down their
grievances that will be compiled and sent off to the authorities.

meeting.
The residents led by Brian Koh called for a meeting with Serdang MP Datuk
Yap Pian Hon to enlist his help to solve issues of concern to them.
Yap said residents want the Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) to look into
issuing them their CFs as the TCF had long expired and they also want to
know the status of the land titles.
“Residents complain they have not received late delivery payments on their
properties and they want to know how to get their money back,” Yap said.
Koh said the housing project was ready in 2005 when it was supposed to have
been completed in 2003.
“CFs should have been issued to us but due to a sewerage pipe issue, the CF
was not issued,” Koh explained.
Resident Rapolla Abdul Satar said it was important for the CF to be issued
because residents cannot sell or mortgage their properties without it.
“We are, after all, paying the authorities quit rent and assessment for our
properties so our homes should also be issued CFs,” he said.
Yap said he would find out in detail from MPKj regarding the issuance of CF
for Taman Cheras Prima.
He would also write to the Housing and Local Government Ministry to find out
the developer’s status.
“It is also important to find out who is holding the land title,” he said.
There are approximately 700 units here with 360 double storey houses, 208
low medium cost units and the rest shop houses. |
