Condo resident wants better
maintenance

MAC, of Kuala Lumpur, is displeased with the maintenance at Villa Puteri
Condo.
“The facilities are not well-maintained. The elevators are slow and
sometimes I have to wait for almost five minutes for the lift to get to my
floor. They also break down frequently,” he says.
MAC says several months ago, he was stuck in the elevator for almost three
minutes when it stopped in between floors.
“Most of the lights in the corridor do not function. We have 42 floors and
on almost every floor, there are lights which aren’t working.
“It is sad that a condo in an elite area faces such problems.”
He claims that the lower ground floor is being used as a dumping ground for
discarded tables, chairs and couches.
“Can the management do something about this? It makes the area look dirty.”
- A SPOKESMAN for Langen Property Management says there are seven elevators
but only one isn’t functioning.
“We have ordered new parts to replace those damaged. We will monitor the
elevators for problems and take immediate action,” he says, adding that they
will also look into the lighting problem.
Most of the units, says the spokesman, are left empty and the owners do not
bother paying the maintenance fees as they do not live there.
“The expenses we bear are higher than the collected maintenance fees.”
The spokesman hopes that residents will understand the management’s
predicament. |
